Experiences in Sant Marti Sarroca

Our guests can enjoy a multitude of activities without leaving the Cal Sisplau property. Relax in our rural house with pool in Penedes, lie in a hammock and delight in the wonderful views of our garden with fruit trees and the orchard. Take a walk through our private vineyard featuring “xarel.lo” grapes, enjoy the local gastronomy by having a barbecue in the outdoor pavilion, and drink a wine from one of the great variety of wineries we have in Penedes. Enjoy these under the shade of our monumental 70-year-old fig tree, listen to music in the chill-out area, or take a walk around the farmhouse. You can also go on bicycle excursions, with or without a guide, and visit one of the wineries in the area where you can taste the highly prized products of our lands.

You can also visit El Castillo de San Martín Sarroca, a 10th-century castle located at the top of Sarroca. Together with the church of Santa María, they form the Monumental Complex of the rock of Sarroca.

One of the most beautiful times in Sant Martí Sarroca is the arrival of autumn. When the harvest is over, the Penedes landscape transforms—the leaves of the vines change color, and their fruit, the grape, is already in the wineries where it will become the final product: wine or cava. From Sant Martí Sarroca, the "Wine route" begins. This 40 km route takes us to the coast, ending in Sitges. Along the journey, the landscape changes, but the vineyards and their wineries always accompany us, as do the smells of the land, the vineyards, and the wine, which contrast beautifully with the scent of the sea. During this tour, there are 13 wineries among the many that we can find in the Penedes area.
